The 60/40/25 rule
- Like New (barely used, with box): price at 60–70% of new retail.
- Good (used but well kept): 40–50% of retail.
- Fair (visible wear): 25–35% of retail.
Worked examples
- iPhone 15, retail $799, battery 98%, with box → list at $599–$649. ✓
- Nike Air Force 1, retail $120, worn 5 times → list at $75–$85. ✓
- PS5 Slim, retail $449, adult-owned → list at $380–$410. ✓
Extra tips
Search before you price. Look at similar live listings on Mericati and price 5% below the average if you want a quick sale.
Accept offers. Buyers love feeling they won. Price 10% above your minimum so there is room to negotiate.
